Implementing the backend of a lawsuit management software.

The German Department of Justice initiated the project and aims to implement nationwide software to manage lawsuits. My task was to design, implement, and test the backend part of this system.

Details

  • Developing with IntelliJ and Java-17
  • API-Specification with openAPI and implement the backend with Spring Boot
  • Running with Spring Boot
  • Organized with Jira and GitHub
  • Build with maven and Jenkins pipeline  

Activities

Design and developing µService endpoints with Spring Boot in consultation with the frontend team. Test the endpoints with JUnit to get a test coverage above 90%. Describing backend integration tests with IntelliJ HTTP-component.

Developing a platform for German Tax offices.

The project builds a platform for the German tax investigation. It includes opening new investigations, following the progress, and creating legal documents. Because of the federal structure of Germany, the documents needed to be built in different ways for the individual states.

Details

  • Developing under IntelliJ with Java 8 to 11
  • Running under JBoss and UNIFA-Client
  • Translation of data with XSLT
  • Document creation with OpenOffice / KOS
  • Integration into the German „KONSENS” environment

Developing business services, programming documents, maintaining legacy code, enhancing the test environment.

Developing a migration strategy for a family of projects.

A family of projects built with ant and running under J2EE containers must be divided into separate modules. The migration should be done for each module. All migrated and non-migrated modules must use the same code base to minimize project risk.
